Maris Jesse is Estonian health expert, who most recently held the position of top civil servant responsible for health sector in the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs. She has also served as director of National Institute for Health Development and CEO of Estonian Health Insurance Fund and worked in the World Bank as senior health specialist. Dr. Jesse served as Member of Executive Board of WHO 2009-2012. She holds medical degree from Tartu University, Estonia and a MSc from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and London School of Economics and Political Science.
