The world has adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), which provide a vision of where we want to be in 2030. The COVID 19 pandemic has seen increasing inequalities globally and within and between countries and threatens to see countries going backwards in terms of meeting the SDG's.
This webcast will:
- Give an overview of the SDG's
- Offer a critique of what is needed to achieve the SDG's, and in particular what is needed to change the global economic system to one that is geared towards meeting the human and ecologial needsthat the SDG;s represent
- Look at COVID's impact on the SDG's, through looking at a few case studies and interviews with key people
- propose some practical measures that could be enacted over the next few years
